苦しみを受けつづけた環境にいても
人 と 人 の中に反省の精神と
許し愛が存在するならば
世界は本来のしあわせを
誰もが 自ら 感じて
歩いてゆけるのだろうな
また、それらの精神は
互いが 歩み寄るのに
とても大切で 謙虚で シンプルなこと。

生まれたときから
肌の色や育ち
宗教で他人を憎む人などいない。
人は憎むことを学ぶのだ。
もし憎しみを学べるのなら、
愛を教えることもできる。
愛は、憎しみに比べ、
より自然に人間の心にとどく
我々が自分の持つ恐れから
自らを解放するとき、
我々の存在は、
同時に他の人々をも
解放することができるのである。
達成するまでそれは不可能に見える

自由であるというのは、
単に己の鎖を脱ぎ捨てるだけではなく、

向上させるような生き方をすることである

私は自由への長い道を歩んできた。
つまずかないように努めてきた。
途中、道を踏み外すこともあった。
しかし私はある秘密を発見した。
大きな山に登ってみると、
人はただ、さらに登るべき
たくさんの山々があることを見つけるのだと。
私はそこで少しのあいだ腰を下ろし、
私を取り巻く燦然たる眺めを盗んだ。
私が歩んできた道のりを振り返りもした。
しかし私が休めるような時間は
ほんのひとときしかない。
自由には責任がついてくる。
そしてここに居座るわけにはいかない。
私の長い道のりはまだ終わっていない
